We know that the all new 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek is not a BRZ, but here at pure86.com we love all Subarus. For some reason this car is very appealing to us and it fills a gap in Subarus current U.S. line up. The debut of the XV Crosstrek will be at the 2012 New York International Auto Show on April 5, at precisely 9.55 in the morning. The XV first debuted at the 64th Frankfurt Motor Show for the world to see, but for the U.S. market the XV will be named the XV Crosstrek. The XV Crosstrek is equipped with the same 2.0L BOXER 4 cylinder found in the 2012 Impreza, featuring 148 hp, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and 5 speed manual or Subaru’s second-generation 5 speed CVT. The 2013 XV Crosstrek diversifies itself from the 2012 Impreza by being built for all types of conditions with 8.7 inches of ground clearance.
The XV Crosstrek comes standard with a more aggressive off-road look, unique 17-inch wheels, and the same safety features found in all Subaru vehicles. The XV Crosstrek will be available in two trim levels, Premuim and Limited. The Limited model adds several luxury amenities like leather-trimmed upholstery, auto climate and a rear camera. An All-Weather Package is available with heated seats and exterior de-icers. The XV Crosstrek also gets great fuel mileage, achieving “33 MPG for highway mileage according to Subaru in-house data”. Expect the all new Subaru XV Crosstrek to be in showrooms later this year and attend the New York International Auto Show for the first look from April 6 through April 15.
