Last season the STI Motorsport and R&D SPORT team were challenged with a completely new chassis with very little time for research and development. This year, Subaru has a full season of practice and data behind them to debug and “…refine the car at an early stage to fight for both class and series wins.”
After Subaru recently announced their Motorsport agenda for 2013, the BRZ GT300 went through its official test day for Super GT on March 16. The event was at the Okayama International Circuit, which is where the first race will be held on April 6 – 7.
Drivers Tetsuya Yamano and Kouta Sasaki were able to get acquainted with their refreshed 2013 spec BRZ on newly adopted Michelin tires. Even though the livery of the BRZ is preliminary, the team was able to gather the data needed to make changes between now and the beginning of next month.
